Crewed job, or just a rental?

Hey there! We're Ariel and Alex, and we're very excited to share our story with you!
Our friendship started in middle school, and we quickly discovered our shared love for film making! From getting together on the weekends and filming little skits to developing an unexplainable passion for lighting!
With our first ever lights purchase — some old Colortran 1Ks and a Lowel light kit — we started experimenting and learning the art of lighting. After a while our passion became an addiction and before we knew it we had our parents' living rooms full of old ancient lights, sliders, stands and even a jib.
Working odd jobs since high school and finally both landing a job at a TV station, we were able to buy a small van to please our parents and get all that "precious junk" out of their houses. Eventually that led to us getting hired by a local DP who started booking us to light low-budget music videos as well as smaller-scale ads.
We then bought some Kino-Flos, some more stands, and in 2017 "ELEVATE" was born — thanks to the ongoing support from our small film community in South Florida: the directors, cinematographers, producers, agencies, family, rental houses, techs, and everyone else we have had the pleasure of meeting.
Here we are today, still growing, still learning and still enjoying every second that we are on set feeding our passion.
